I experienced the same problem with PMI. I paid Intelius back in March to research a phone number. PMI started automatically billing me $19.95 per month and did so until now (June, 2008) when I discovered it.
I called and spoke to Antonia (226853) and then a supervisor Gloria (4789) who said she would refund my money (all of it) within 2 business days to my credit card. I asked her to send me an email confirming our conversation and she said she would. I will write back here with another complaint if they do not do what they said they would do. I am also going to call Intelius and let them know that I will never do business with them again. I urge you to do the same.
If enough people complain and tell Intelius they will no longer use their services, perhaps they will not use companies like PMI or at the very least make it very obvious that you are automatically being enrolled in another program.
